I feel like shadow songs this morning. Maurice Sendak – totally pivotal part of my childhood and honestly a part of my adult/psycho analytic life has died.
Life well lived sir.
❤
Your illustrations will adorn my child’s ( yet to be conceived of course) wall.
Your words will fill their ears.
Your spirit will help answer questions for my family with grace and wit and beauty.
With all of the qualities that were a gift to me in my youth and resurfaced as
I aged like a phoenix of knowledge rising. rising.
Thank you. From one small speck in the cosmic dance to another.
You made so many lives burn brighter and more fully with your life’s turning.
❤ more than I could possibly express.
”I cry a lot because I miss people. They die
and I can’t stop them. They leave me and I love them more.” ~ Maurice Sendak
